Driveline Section

This is the aluminum drive shaft I hoped would change the ring and pinion noise amplitude.  I had hoped that the main speaker for the gear noise was the drive shaft.  I hoped the aluminum would offer a different natural frequency and noise characteristics.  It turned out that it did not help with the noise.  It looks like all the vibrations enter through the mustache bar and front mount into the frame.  I remounted the mustache bar with the latest revision mounts which are softer than original and reduced some of the noise.  I will have to add damping material to the rear floor to improve the noise from here.

This is a photo of the bolt in drive shaft loop.  It is anchored to the tunnel in 3 places.  Hopefully I will never need it.
