INSTALLING THE TOO TECH AIR TANK TO THE BIKE
| Install the forks into the tripple clamps and remove the
brass cap.
Hold the adapter with a 7/16" wrench to prevent it from spinning. Use a 9/16" wrench to unscrew the brass cap. |
| Position the adapters to receive the Air Tank Assembly.
Rotate the forks so that the brass adapters are about 7 1/2" apart. (7.50" or 190mm) Note: this is basically straight forward for the adapters. Tighten the tripple clamps to factory specs. |
Attach the left side swivel fitting Tighten the brake side tube fitting swivel nut using a 9/16 wrench. Be sure to hold the brass adapter using a 7/16” wrench when tightening the swivel nut. Note: On the brake side, the 90 degree tube will rotate into the handle bar mount while tightening. The mount will locate the tube perfectly so this side can be tightened without a helper. |
| Attach the right side swivel fitting
Tighten the right side tube fitting swivel nut using a 9/16 wrench. Again, hold the brass adapter using a 7/16” wrench when tightening the swivel nut. Note: On the non brake side, the tube will rotate forward while tightening the swivel nut. Have a helper hold the 90 degree fitting from turning while you tighten the swivel nut. The easiest way to stop the fitting from turning is for the helper to position a screwdriver against the triple clamps and hold the fitting rearward. |
| Position the tie straps to secure the tank to the
steel tubing
Wrap
the tie strap around the air tank sliding it between the tank and the
valve and then around the steel air
line. Tighten
the tie strap to solidly attach the tank to the steel tube.
Some slight adjustment is possible before tightening the tie straps to
insure the tanks are basically level. |
